Will You Attend An April 15th Tea Party?

We now have word that the Chelan Valley TEA PARTY is being planned for RIVERWALK PARK - Wednesday evening, April 15th at 7 PM. This event is being organized by a number of concerned citizens who simply want to express their concern about the state of our nation. As we understand it, there is no ‘central leader’ but thhose organizing are from all political persuasions, and all walks of life - and any and everyone should feel welcome.
Bring Tea Bags, labels and SIGNS - and make a good photo op for the press and others.
Of course - Events are planned across our state and nation and the Chelan event is planned for those who would be unable to travel to some of the larger ones.

Postings are moderated and we are under no obligation to approve any post.
This is the first time in my adult life I have felt compelled to get involved in something like this. I feel like I am not alone in my anger and concern. And I am so glad that others are feeling the same. See you there. Hey where is the one in Chelan?

Count me in. We either do something now or we’ll have to do something harder later.

We are at a crucial time in our nations history.
With a little mathematics you can take the 100 cents in a dollar and then subtract the following items from it:
That dollars share of :
Income taxes
Property taxes
Excise taxes
Gasoline taxes
So called Sin Taxes (i.e. alcohol, tobacco, etc.)
Sales taxes
Business and Occupation taxes
Business licenses
Driving Licenses
Automobile Licenses
Government required Insurances for individuals and businesses
Fishing and Hunting Licenses
Pilots licenses and all other special interest licenses
Import duties
Permits required for Building, Electrical, Water acquisition, (i.e. drilling a well)
Fuel surcharges (i.e. traveling on a tourism boat etc.)
Parking permits to use fishing areas or parks
Garbage disposal costs according to government regulation
Telephone usage taxes ( free speech?)
And, this list could go on and on.
Is your earned dollar gone with just the above?
Yes, and then some.
That is why Americans are having to use credit to be able to survive.
Then they become indebted to banks which are government controlled and regulated as well.
The government is controlling the press and media and what we hear is sometimes just the supposed “upside” of what is really going on.
So far they have not passed a “thinking tax”, but we are paying to breathe our air and drink our water and live on patches of dirt.
If you can see anything nice from the property you own (such as Lake Chelan or any other nice lake) you can expect to pay extra for a “looking at nice things that belong to the government” in form of additional taxes.
How can you cut down on all the things that are supposed to be freedoms?
Don’t shower every day, it uses too much water.
Try not to go to the bathroom too often, same problem.
Forget your hopes and dreams of what you can accomplish with your talents and skills (can’t afford the taxes and fees to be self employed)
Try not to buy anything except the essentials such as food and water and shelter.
Avoid any fun things that might cost a few dollars like going out to a movie or eating out at a restaurant.
Try to not buy things that are in packages, it makes too much trash to have to dispose of.
In short, our supposed “free country” costs each one of us a fortune and we cannot hardly afford to “live”.
Freedoms are just a dream anymore the way things are.
All the other nations in the world are laughing at us now as we have had our ability to produce and think and grow reduced to nothing.
And, our children will have to bear the brunt of much of what is done now to try to save our “face” by giving the big banks money and bailing out insurance companies and car companies so that we can appear to be a viable recipient of loans from their countries.
The shame of this is immense.
The guilt seems to be nowhere to be seen.
We are in a shambles.
What kind of country relies on the profits from State gambling (i.e. lottery ticket sales) to
Support their schools or provide funding for anything to do with the government really?
Well, I guess “In God we Trust” or something like that. Sure can’t rely on the government to maintain our freedoms.
A dollar can be considered to be like a “collection plate” of a sort. It can be spent by someone and gotten by another person or business sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Each time it produces the same result. It is exceeded by its own value in the expenses it has incurred for the holder of it.

Yes, I will attend a tea party event. I feel it is very important to make our feelings known as a group. THe situation in our wonderful country is very serious.

I echo the comments of Ms Larsen. If we want to have a voice in the “tax and spend ” debate this is a great opportunity.
So where is the “Tea Party”??

Dave & Mary Weldy Support Today’s Tea Party
With FREE Tea Bags!
Dave writes….
Good Morning Jerry,
Culinary Apple and Dave & Mary Weldy would like to donate 500 organic gourmet tea bags for tonights tea party!
Please stop by our store between 10am and 5:30pm and tell us you are attending the tea party tonight. We will give you a tea bag free! For your information we retail Mighty Leaf tea bags for $1 each.
This is our way of finally breaking out of the mold, “The Silent Majority” and making a statement!
For us it started with the bailouts. Then the property taxes, not to mention the state is considering raising the sale tax! Where does it stop? When they finally tax the air we breath! A teabag does’nt seem like much, we pray that it sends a strong message to the leaders in our community, state and nation!
See you tonight at the party
