Lake Chelan’s Tea Party - WHAT’S NEXT?

April 16, 2009 ! By Jerry Isenhart

Fifty or more concerned members of the Lake Chelan Community turned out at Riverwalk Park Wednesday evening in a show of support for a nationwide effort to elevate public awareness and concern for trends in government and taxation.

As our readers will hear in the video on the left, there was no shortage of those willing to speak up and express their thoughts and concerns.

It was an extremely mature, peaceful, display of what’s best about America - ‘Freedom of Speech” - with a message that’s not often heard from the far too often ‘Silent Majority”.

Our question to readers is “What Happens Now?” …
Does the ‘Silent Majority’ have the tenacity to take a new route of action - or is this all that we’ll see?

Will You Attend An April 15th Tea Party?

Filed under: General — admin @ 6:45 pm

We now have word that the Chelan Valley TEA PARTY is being planned for RIVERWALK PARK - Wednesday evening, April 15th at 7 PM. This event is being organized by a number of concerned citizens who simply want to express their concern about the state of our nation. As we understand it, there is no ‘central leader’ but thhose organizing are from all political persuasions, and all walks of life - and any and everyone should feel welcome.

Bring Tea Bags, labels and SIGNS - and make a good photo op for the press and others.

Of course - Events are planned across our state and nation and the Chelan event is planned for those who would be unable to travel to some of the larger ones.
